Operators Unlimited Welcomes John Thorne as Technical Resource Specialist
Bringing more than 20 years of industry experience to the OU team
Duncan, SC. (September 11, 2023) – Operators Unlimited, Inc. recently hired John Thorne as a Technical Resource Specialist. John began his career in water treatment within industrial chemical plants treating boilers, cooling towers and wastewater. Having experience in both municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities, John brings more than 20 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment.
As a Technical Resource Specialist, John is responsible for evaluating and developing new chemistry solutions for different processes, performing site evaluations, developing strategic solutions, consulting with customers and selecting the best-suited equipment for each project. Whether it is helping a customer replace an underperforming system or helping a customer achieve a higher efficiency rate, John is dedicated to delivering optimized solutions designed specifically for each project.

John brings a diverse background to OU having worked in several different industries, gaining extensive water and wastewater treatment knowledge. He has experience in de-watering applications, testing and analysis, water and wastewater optimization, chemical sales and engineering consulting. His comprehensive knowledge will prove beneficial to Operators Unlimited and its mission to understand customer needs and develop effective solutions. John received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University.
