Event Targets Operators with South Carolina Licenses
Continuing education events are essential for understanding the complexities of the wastewater industry through classes, on-site training and shadowing. Our upcoming continuing education event presents the perfect opportunity for wastewater operators to review and develop new industry skills for FREE. No matter your specific license type, South Carolina license holders are invited to attend this course free of charge to obtain all or the additional credits needed to meet state guidelines. Required in the state of South Carolina, industrial and municipal wastewater operators are encouraged to register for Day 1, Day 2, or both in order to gain the necessary continued education credits for the two-year period.
Both event days will run from 8:30am – 4:00pm. The topics covered on Day 1 will range from wastewater documentation, chemical feed pumps, to coagulation and solids de-watering. Day 2 topics will include wastewater sampling, safety tactics and wastewater math. Participants will earn a total of 6 hours of continuing education credits each day they choose to attend. If participating in both days, a total of 12 continuing education credits will be earned towards maintaining good standing of wastewater licenses.
The primary instructor of the event will be David Collyer, wastewater operations and education specialist. David has worked diligently in the wastewater industry for the past 30 years serving in various positions and obtaining licenses in multiple states. David also has experience in industrial and municipal facilities, providing a full-circle perspective on the topics that will be discussed during the continuing education event.
